Volcano hazards

After many weeks of earthquakes in Iceland, what we thought would happen happened. Lava came to the surface.

Even though Iceland is a volcanic island, the eruption has been so close to the capital area that there is a huge enthusiasm for it.

This seems like the perfect time to do an episode on volcano hazards. As a Canadian, I have never been really exposed to it, so it is a good time to dive back into Wilderness medicine books and volcano hazard literature.

Enjoy the show.
